Errors

The EduFocal API uses conventional HTTP response codes to indicate the success or failure of an API request. In general:

• 2xx range indicates success
• 4xx range indicates an error that failed given information provided (invalid input, invalid ID, failed authentication)
• 5xx indicates errors with our servers (we did something wrong)

Some 4xx errors that could be handled programmatically (eg. missing parameters) include an error code and messages that briefly explains the reported error.
